About Me
This website is my personal educational portfolio and a place where I can share my progress as I continue learning about computers, programming, and web development. The main purpose of this website is to introduce myself, display projects and assignments, and document the skills I develop throughout this course. Instead of keeping my work in one private folder, I can use this website to organize my learning in a way that other people can view and understand.
My portfolio represents my learning journey because it will change as I gain more experience. At the beginning, I am focusing on basic HTML structure, links, images, forms, and page organization. I am now learning how CSS and Bootstrap can improve the appearance and responsiveness of a website. In future assignments, I plan to add more projects, tables, images, interactive features, and examples of code. Each new page or improvement will show something that I have practiced in class.
I am a CIS student at Des Moines Area Community College, and I am interested in technology because it influences communication, education, business, and everyday life. Learning how websites are designed helps me understand how information is presented online. It also gives me an opportunity to practice problem solving and attention to detail. When a page does not work correctly, I have to examine my code, find the problem, and test a possible solution.
This website also represents my goals for the future. I am still exploring different areas of technology, including software development, data science, full-stack web development, and cybersecurity. Building a foundation in web development can help me understand which areas interest me the most. I know that improving my skills will require patience, practice, and learning from mistakes. As this course continues, I will use this portfolio to show my improvement and save examples of work that I am proud of.
Outside of school, I enjoy playing volleyball, spending time with my family, watching action and crime-related movies, and following international news. These interests are part of who I am, and they may also give me ideas for future website projects. My goal is for this website to become a clear record of my education and development as a technology student.
